On 23 June, Dr Keith Jackson of the Doshisha Business School and SOAS gave a talk entitled “Developing and Expressing Multi-Cultural Identities: A Conflict Resolution Perspective”.
Focusing on the work of Anthony Giddens, the lecture was an invaluable tour around many of the key concepts within sociology relating to multi-cultural identities.
Taking place against the backdrop of the historic referendum about the European Union in the UK (which also featured in the Q&A session), the lecture was also a starting point for a successful workshop on 25 June that explored all the ideas further in small group discussions.
Thank you very much, Dr. Jackson!
