While taking Japanese classes in high school and participating in the Japan Bowl competition, I discovered my interest in Japan and decided to study abroad in Japan. However, I wanted to study in Japanese and ultimately decided on MJSP.
Classes at Hokkaido University are very intriguing, with professors from various backgrounds and peers who offer perspectives from around the world and Japan. Teachers often allot time for discussion during classes resulting in a very enriching learning environment.
I am currently studying about the hip hop scene in Sapporo, but I recently also have become interested in tourism and rural Japan.
